How can the RHS College & Career Center help you?

The College and Career Center is “drop in” style this year.  ALL students can use this resource center.  It is located in C-3 and Ms. Curletto is the CCC Coordinator.  In the CCC you can find the latest postings about colleges, scholarships, financial aid, Oregon Promise, jobs, CTE programs, and more.  Sit in and listen to college representatives, scholarship updates, and even sign up for a mock interview.  You can also find in the CCC many programs such as:

1) AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a class that teaches learning, academic and study skills and helps prepare students for college and beyond.  Applications are in the spring and you must apply and interview for a spot in the class.

2) ASPIRE is the State of Oregon’s mentoring program.  Its mission is to help students access education and training beyond school.  Students can request a Mentor, and set up their own direct meetings with them.  Open to all students.  Pick up an application form today in the CCC.

3) College Possible is an after-school college prep for juniors and seniors.  Get help with ACT prep, college and scholarship applications, the FAFSA/ORSAA, and more.  Apply through the College Possible organization prior to Junior year.
